Tugboat beached like a Whale after collision with barge
A tug boat, came ashore around 5 AM. The vessel began to take on water through a hole on the bow's portside in Highland Beach. A resident from a near by condo said “she didn't know what was coming to shore. All she could see was bright lights and hear loud sounds.” The boat sat all day while it was repaired then towed back out to sea.
Long Island's Gold Coast
Over the summer of 2009 I was in New York City doing business. I had some time over the weekend so I headed east to Long Island's Gold Coast to visit some old friends from high school. The weather was perfect so we took a sunset boat trip. We went from Lattingtown Beach heading east around Center Island into Oyster Bay Harbor. We then fueled up and cruised over to Wall’s Wharf for some cold beers and yummy baked clams. On our trip I snapped a few photos of some gorgeous estates, sailboats and landscapes. Above is Billy Joel's Estate in Center Island. I even saw some "Locust Valley Lockjaw" Yuppies with thier colars popped. God I love that place! Long Island's Gold Coast is truly a place of beauty and such history. If you haven’t visit you should.
William O. Lockhart Pier Grand Reopening, May 9, 2009
My son and I cruised over to the William O. Lockhart Pier' today for the Grand Reopening celebration. After 3 years of construction the pier is finally open! The turn out was huge! The city of Lake Worth did a really great job. They had food, belly dancers, free T-shirts, live music and drinks for everybody. It's about time!
